Fortunately, there are some commonly-available essential oils that can provide you with support in helping you regenerate adrenal glands that are over tired.

These essential oils for adrenal fatigue are readily available in most health food stores or online if you prefer.

What Is The Adrenal Fatigue Syndrome?

The adrenal glands are the most important part of your body’s endocrine system that helps it deal with stress. The tiny glands weigh about as much as a grape and are around the same size as a walnut, with each sitting on top of a kidney. The glands produce very important hormones like cortisol, which controls your energy output, as well as pregnenolone, which is the precursor from where the steroid hormones in the body are made, including estrogen, testosterone, progesterone and DHEA.

It has been shown that pregnenolone is a very powerful memory enhancer that can possibly make you smarter. It hopefully will also bring about well-being feelings which can help to enhance your ability for dealing with stress. Various common health symptoms can result from low-output adrenal function, including depressed immune system function and insomnia.

There are numerous lifestyle factors that can potentially contribute to adrenal fatigue. In general, they can all be lumped together in the category of having too much stress. Some of the common causes include excessive consumption of caffeine, injury, illness, surgery, too little time for family life and play, poor eating habits and not enough sleep. It is critically important to modify these habits in order to regenerate your adrenal glands over the long-term and return your hormonal output back to normal levels.

Fortunately  essential oils for adremnal fatigue may help to bring balance and help with restoring adrenal output in moderate and mild adrenal fatigue cases. Using those essential oils for fatigue might help to break the cycle of sugar and stimulant use which created the problem to begin with.

Essential Oils

Aromatherapy commonly uses essential oils for supporting adrenal gland function. There are some specifically used for regenerating adrenal glands. For other individuals, it is used for a gentle lift during the healing process when necessary. They can be particularly helpful when stimulant consumption is reduced. It is best to dilute these adrenal fatigue essential oils in a carrier oil and they should applied to your skin instead of taking them orally.

It is also added into blends which you can apply to your skin over your adrenal area. It can also be used in a body lotion at lower dilutions.

Pine Essential Oil: For fatigue, pine oil is considered to be one of the more effective oils. Black Spruce and Pine Oil can be blended together to produce a synergistic effective to help with adrenal functioning.

Cedar Oil: The body’s metabolism can be gently stimulated by Atlantic Moroccan Cedar without any letdown. Whereas Pine and Spruce needle essential oil have a regenerating effect, Cedar oil is able to provide you with stimulation that is long lasting without any of the side effects that harsh stimulants often produce.

Peppermint Essential Oil: Many helpful effects are associated with peppermint oil. It has an uplifting and clarifying aroma. Like Cedar oil, it gets added into adrenal formulas for mental clarity and mild stimulation.

Citrus Oils like Lime, Lemon, Bitter Orange and Orange. These oils are cold-pressed from the fruit peels and are thought to bring on a light attitude and be uplifting. The oils have a very relaxing effect as well – the combination can help to lower your stress levels – with adrenal fatigue being the primary culprit.

Essential Oil Recipes For Adrenal Support

The essential oil blend provides regenerative support without any stimulation. The oils that are part of the recipe are good for continued use. It might also have an effect in a fairly short amount of time. To make a 30 milliliter blend, mix 1 1/2 milliliter of pine oil and black spruce into 27 milliliters of hazel oil. The amounts can also be doubled to make larger quantities. Apply topically to your kidney area daily one to three times per day.

You can also use the same essential oils in a body oil blend that is gently stimulating. Use three milliliters of pine and spruce essential oils along with two milliliters of the essential oil from Atlantic cedarwood and two milliliters of citrus oil. These should be added with four ounces worth of hazelnut or your favorite carrier oil. Apply after taking a shower. However, use caution since citrus oils may be photo sensitizing. They shouldn’t be applied to any areas that are going to receive direct sunlight exposure over the two days after being applied.

You can use peppermint in addition to or instead of, citrus essential oils. This blend can be very enjoyable. Mix together one and one half milliliters of peppermint, two and a half milliliters of cedarwood oil and six milliliters of spruce oil into four ounces of hazel oil or another carrier oil of choice. When this combination is used without citrus oil, it won’t be photo sensitizing so you will be able to use all over your body.
