ENTERTAINMENT is an experience that brings you into another world in a euphoric state of immense pleasure. It is a moment in which you forget your problems, and wish that it never ends.
It has become a major industry that can be adapted to any scale or type of occasion: from a personal choice of entertainment for two; to banquets and dances adapted to any number of guests; to performances intended for a large audience. It is strongly associated with amusement, although many entertainments serve other purposes. The word derives from the Medieval Latin inter tenere, and has Indo-European roots in ten, meaning to stretch or enlarge something.
