Entertaiment is a broad term describing the wide variety of ways in which individuals and groups entertain themselves. These activities can vary from the private enjoyment of one’s own music collections (which may be a large part of the current entertainment industry) through to performances intended for a global audience. The experience of being entertained has come to be strongly associated with amusement, which means that one’s not unusual information about the idea is a sense of fun and laughter; however many entertainments can also have a serious purpose, as might be the case in different styles of ceremony, party, religious festival or satire for instance.
